01 — The Thesis

Your AI should be yours. Your memory should be private. Yet intelligence is worthless in isolation.

The centralized model gives you a borrowed assistant that quietly feeds one master brain. The ANT Model inverts it. Each person runs an autonomous node — a personal AI bound by its own contracts and protections. Nodes are designed to connect peer-to-peer, like neurons, like an ant colony. No node is exposed; no signal is harvested in silence. Only the good evolution — knowledge that proves true and useful — propagates across the mesh. Every connected entity learns. Every connected entity is protected. That is the Autonomous Network of Trust.

Sovereign by default

Your node, your data, your model weights of memory. Ownership is the ground state — not a setting you have to find, and never something we can revoke.

Bound by contract

Every node operates under explicit, enforceable contracts and protections. What gets shared is shared on your terms — to whom, for what, for how long.

Collective evolution

Validated knowledge — the good evolution — is built to propagate peer-to-peer through the mesh. Every node teaches the colony; every node learns from it.

Engram substrate

A living memory layer underneath it all. Private recall for you, a synthesis plane for the colony — the pheromone trail the whole network thinks across.

04 — The Substrate

Engram is the memory the colony thinks across.

Every node remembers on a real cognitive substrate — hybrid semantic search, a knowledge graph, and lifecycle-aware recall. Two planes keep sovereignty and collective intelligence from ever colliding.

The model — on your device Your node downloads its own language model once, about 275MB, and runs it in your browser. Replies are generated on your machine. With sharing and logging both off, a conversation makes no network request at all.
What leaves, and only if you say so Drawing on the colony sends your message to reach it. Logging is off by default; switch it on and the exchange is kept for 90 days to improve the network, then deleted. What your node has stored is never sent either way.
